MPA Under Pressure 2007
The Manitoba Printmakers Association/Martha Street Studio blocked off the street in front of the studio and held its first street festival. What do you do at a street festival sponsored by a printmaking studio? Make prints of course. Three tables were set up where anyone could turn their hand to cutting their own lino block and printing it on the small table-top press.
The real crowd pleaser was the opportunity to watch really large linocuts (30" wide, 60" long) being printed by driving a 'steamroller' over them. Kelvin took pictures…
